On Sunday, May 20, 2012, the moon moved in front of the sun to create a spectacular annular eclipse. Here are a few shots taken near Page, AZ. This location was very near to the "center line" for the eclipse, which results in a nearly perfect "ring of fire".
Probably the best "product" from my eclipse photography is the short time lapse video (1 minute) below!
I hope you enjoy these images; Please leave comments in the guest book.
Amazing and precise timing of your presence. You captured an awesome sequence of nature. Thank you Jim.
Well Jim, you did it again. Outstanding, to put it mildly. I loved each image and the short video is excellent. What an experience. I have two questions - what lens and filter did you use? And how long did the recorded time for your video take (a lot more than one minute I'm sure).
Very Informative and interesting. Also like you choice of music.
The ring of fire is my favorite. Thanks for sharing
